Chatsworth House Christmas Market

Naturally we went to the Christmas Market within the grounds of this great house. This again was lovely. We warmed up with a hot chocolate before exploring all the treasures on offer. We were very impressed with the variety of goods and the affordable prices. I did struggle with the wheel chair though and had to desert mother on a couple of occasions so as to explore some more. Just to keep her right though I bought her a rather yummy mulled wine!

Chatsworth House

I spent the day at Chatsworth House with my lovely mother on Wednesday. It was wonderful with an added touch of magic. The theme in the house was based on Narnia, complete with wardrobe, lamp post, Mr Beaver and much more.

Chatsworth and its surrounding grounds are beautiful. Set in the Peak District it is home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and found the staff very friendly and helpful. We were able to borrow a wheel chair and access to the different floors was made possible by lift. We are already planning a return trip next year!

Detail

Here are a couple of details of 'Red Boat' in progress. So far am quite pleased with the way it is shaping up.
