Holiday Inspirations

I thought I'd share a few holiday snaps and inspirations with you today.

 

We spent our first week based in Chester from where we did day trips to Liverpool, Shrewsbury, Llandudno and, of course, Chester itself.  

 

 

                                            

 

 

Lying on the River Dee, close to the border with Wales, Chester was founded as a "castrum" or Roman fort. The ancient walls encircling the medieval city are well worth a leisurely stroll. There are plenty of steps down into the streets if you need to stop off for refreshments, need I say more? 

 

 

 

                     

                                                                          

                                                         

 

 

 

 

 

'What's On'

A bit more on the Art and Textiles Fair with a piece in the Northern Echo - What's On. I hope you all have this event written in your diaries. I must admit I'm really looking forward to it. Here's a taster of some of the artist's pieces, which I hope gives an idea of the diversity of work that will be on offer.

What a beautiful day we've had.

 Things are certainly moving fast now and it's almost fair time! Just to remind you all here's the poster...
